Being the first helicopter general aviation company in Australia
to have such advanced equipment will assist Kestrel to offer a
even greater range of course options. For pilots at Kestrel advanced
training programs will be available. Realistic and high quality
systems will make command instrument rating training available
at an affordable price not experienced in Australia before. Pilot
aeronautical decision making courses will be available also as
one of the facets on offer.
Courses of this type will be designed to improve pilot awareness
of potential hazards and will facilitate an avenue to practice
real emergencies without risk to flight crew or equipment.
The Frasca 342 wraparound visual system provides a realistic visual
presentation to allow full day, night, visual and instrument flight.
Night emergencies will now be completed in the simulator including
touch down autorotations.
Those persons intending to transition to turbine helicopters
will also carry out an initial course of training in the simulator
prior to flying the helicopter. Engine emergencies and malfunctions
