King Air

Our Beechcraft King Air C90, VH-KQB has been very busy with full daily schedules. The C90 is utilised to provide turbo prop, high speed and upper airwork training for a Chinese Airline. The program prepares the trainees for their next step which is a first Officer role in one of the International Airlines.

The C90 cockpit layout mimics that of a Boeing 737 so trainee Pilots can get familiar with the checklist flow of an airline environment.

The C90 can carry two crew and up to five passengers, it is powered by two Pratt and Witney PT6 turbine engines. It can operate at altitudes in excess of 20, 000 feet and has a cruise speed of 220 knots with a range of approximately 1100 nautical miles.

The C90 regularly operates from Mangalore to such places as Mildura and Broken Hill providing ideal sector lengths for this type of training.
